The earthquake of November 1, 1755 almost completely destroyed the houses within the walls of Albufeira Castle. For this reason, Judge José de Mendonça, in the second half of the 18th century, had his palace built on his property outside the walls and further away from the coast.

Hello good morning, great service from Thomas, well located, great looking, impeccable cleanliness, I got a single room that exceeded expectations, when I return to albufeira it will be the 1st place I will look for, the premises are very tidy and comfort that I did not expect would be so good, a kitchen that can be used to perfection with everything impeccable. And the key point is that I arrived at night outside reception hours and yet I was greeted with a speed that didn't exist in other places in albufeira where I was even very badly received.
Location, cleanliness and room facilities are very good. There is no air conditioning, but there is a fan, which was sufficient for the temperature. The service from the staff was excellent.
The hostel is simply beautiful, it looks like a museum, the interior and exterior spaces are very cozy and charming, perfect for resting at any time of the day. The women's room is very well equipped and tidy. The location is central in the city and gives easy access to the center and the beach.
